Azrael Ondi-Ahman redefines God with Four Radical Propositions that he discovered prior to God introducing themselves to him.  This redefinition has changed my understanding of and relation to God on many levels.  I hope that it does the same for you.

What is God’s purpose and how does humanity fit into it? September 25, 2009

God began life as a human being and evolved over a vast period of time to a celestial existence. During this time of evolution, God observed the decline and downfall of humankind. As a result, God committed to creating the necessary conditions for returning to planet earth and mankind to aid humanity in saving itself. In addition to saving humanity, God subtly influences mankind and human history to help man evolve on a metaphysical and transcendental level. Part of this plan includes other heavenly hosts who have volunteered to assist God in bringing to pass the immortality and eternal life of every man and every woman.

For, behold, all things shall I make new again, for I shall establish a new Heaven and a new earth, and this through the rolling forth of the dispensations which I have appointed; that there might be set before the eyes of man the only sure hope of immortality and eternal life.

In this video trailer, Azrael illuminates the miracle of humankind in a very powerful and poetic manner.  While addressing the supremecy and the beauty humankind, he acknowledges our capacity to not only save  ourselves, but all other species from future annihilation.  For me, it is a message of hope, promise, and our potential evolution on a personal level as well as a species.

FAQ #1: What/Who is God?* September 10, 2009

The word God is not a name, it is an entitlement of authority that means Noble One. God is not a single celestial being, but rather God is the representation of a collective and divine will. God, this divine will, is represented by glorified and exalted human beings that evolved out of humanity itself. We are the literal spiritual offspring of God, our Heavenly Father and our Heavenly Mother, and we have the capacity to become just like Them if we so choose. It is holiness, benevolence and wisdom which define the nature of God; and not power, anger or hate. (See: 6th Endowment 1:1-2 and 7th Endowment 7:17)

“Throughout the Song of God, the heart, mind and character of your Heavenly Father and Heavenly Mother are truly revealed. You must never fear God. And those who say you must, simply do not know what they are speaking about. There is no correlation between God and the biblical Jehovah mentioned in Christian scriptures. Jehovah is a monster, a demiurge, a madly insane ravenous beast who struts, prattles and makes threats. You must learn to disregard this shameless pretender to the throne of God. My sole purpose for writing the Song of God is to wean you away from this pretentious and hurtful monster and to place you before your true Heavenly Father and Heavenly Mother. The more you come to know God, the less you will fear. And this, my children, is my gift to you. Always remember that knowledge makes courage possible. Do not fear Jehovah any longer. I will take care of Jehovah. I will chase the monster far, far away from you.”

My life would never be the same… A not-so-chance encounter on a rainy autumn night. A Stetson figure walking in the misty distance silhouetted by street lights lining the bridge. Thoughts triggered by pipe tobacco intermixing with the moist air. Confused and hopeful, willing to take a risk – what could be lost, what could be gained? What the hell? Standing in the middle between here and there. Choosing to deny an offer of another destiny. Face to face looking a vision in the eyes. Awkward greeting and here we go. Spring in his step, smile in his eyes, dashing off with a lingering “what is life without risk?” Tripping over philosophies, sipping bowls of coffee, listening to an insane story from a sane man on divine commissions and unfinished business. Seven hours of hope filled impossibilities – engaged answers from a mentor who has finally heard my call. The apartment barren, spotless… as described. Sitting round a kitchen table, a book between. Values… beliefs fitting oh so well, but this can’t be real. No way, no how. Who are you? Why you? Why not? Poetry read, passion and intensity cutting through the beard. Eyes piercing. Conviction deep and convincing. But, this can’t be right…. Doubts, hopes, doubts, hopes. Which shall be bashed? Two fish and out the door I go back into the darkness. Spinning symbolism deep in my mind.  Who will believe, do I believe it? Reality check… better call Megan.
